About Us

Miwangu Music & Arts Center is a year round institution that offers Music lessons in Nairobi Kenya. It is the home for both African and Western Music. You will find lessons in Theory of Music, Conducting, Voice, Piano, Guitar, Percussion, Brass, Woodwind and String instruments. We take students from as early as age 4. Miwangu is the place where your musical interests are met.

We teach different skills in music such as performance, reading music notation, sight reading, sight singing, musicianship and Aural Training. We also encourage and register students to engage in activities such as the Kenya Music Festivals

Our students are taught using specialized materials – customized to each students’ needs, in addition to standard materials, appropriate to each instrument. Our teachers are experienced teachers, and in-demand performers, who LOVE to teach.

Our teaching rooms are clean and clutter free. We have a warm and professional staff. Our waiting area is comfortable and clean.

  • We Help rekindle goals and dreams in individuals who have become discouraged due to inadequate education in music and other performing arts.
  • We Encourage people who have dreamed of performing, and to give them the skills and knowledge to realize those dreams.
  • We Encourage young children who have a recognized, but untapped interest in music and performing arts, to free this interest in a fun, thorough and technically sound, effective way.
  • We Provide aspiring music professionals and music professionals with the tools, services and support they need to strengthen their art.
